A live, unedited recording from a performance on October 9, 2016 at St. Andrew's Church in Beacon, NY. The piece is a rare addition of the trumpet to a fairly typical woodwind ensemble. In many ways, the piece is quintessential Hindemith, wrought from traditional forms, and dizzyingly difficult to perform live. The second and fourth movements are palindromes of one another.
